A Quick Glance

The Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds are a set of dual cone shaped ear bud headphones that are beefed up with noise canceling technology – making sure that you only hear the beats you want to hear whenever you are listening to that mobile digital media or player of yours.

This little BUT powerful piece of gadget from Philips has been built to drown out background sounds and noises while improving the music performance and quality. Coming with built in volume control for sharper listening precision, a carrying pouch and next strap for convenience especially while you are on the go, and with a plane adapter, the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds ready to use right out of the box.

My Experience
The Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds are nice little ear plugs. As for my ears, they fit perfectly and I don’t have anything to complain about it. HOWEVER, one should note that the buds won’t fit into everyone’s ear. If you are one of the folks who don’t like the idea of wearing plugs and fitting them so deeply inside your ear canal, then you should steer clear from the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds.

$9.98
The generic ear piece fits snugly for me. BUT since it’s not a custom ear piece, you can’t expect it fit into everyone’s ear. In my opinion, Philips should have taken care of this issue by providing different ear sizes with the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds.

The sound? The quality is above average and it’s good enough for me. True, the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds is NOT at par with a Grado headphone when it comes to sound quality and the sound provided by an enclosed earpiece is far from the one you get with these ear buds from Philips. True, no thumping bass BUT it has a reasonably good frequency response in both mids as well as highs.

$14.99
One note to keep in mind – the snugness of the ear piece significantly affects the sound quality. The better the ear pieces fit, the better the sound quality will be since less background noise can find their way to your ear. Jazz, classical, swing – these are the genres I’m listening to and with the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds, they all sound very nice!

On the other hand, the noise reduction technology and features also work good enough. YES, it’s good enough to reduce the fan noise of computers piled up in front of you. The noise from the plane, air conditioner, and other background noise are also reduced significantly. Now don’t think that with the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds, you will be immersed in silence. No, that’s not going to happen.

BUT if you are on the hunt for ear buds that will give you the perfect listening experience and entertainment you are looking for and while you are on the go, by all means, grab the Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Ear Buds.

$60.99

With the aid of this microphone, ATH ANC3 Quiet Point noise cancelling ear buds blocks well over 85 percent of outside noise according to studies and tests done by Audio-Technica. The ear buds ship with 3 different ear tips’ sizes as well as a control unit that lets you monitor the unit and a switch that mutes all of the functions.

And, in case you are out of batteries, don’t worry! The ear buds work when the noise cancelling function is off.

The ATH ANC3 Quiet Point noise cancelling ear buds kit has everything you need to get the most out of your portable audio equipment – a sturdy carrying case, adjustable cable, a couple of additional and extension cables, adapter, clip, as well as AAAA battery. Coming in either black or white, it’s easy to see that these ear buds have been designed to eliminate the sounds when you are traveling or commuting. Audio Technica noise canceling earbuds are sure to be quite durable and provide quality sound through the years.

YES, the design is very compact and it makes very good sense – when you are on the go, the more portable and convenient to use, the better.

It seems that Audio Technica wants to take advantage of this idea and it’s very apparent with their latest QuietPoint headphones – the ATH ANC3 Quiet Point noise cancelling ear buds. The super compact and convenient design, the integrated noise cancellation module, combined with nice and handy travel accessories; it’s easy to see that the $170 price tag is worth every penny.

The ATH ANC3 Quiet Point noise cancelling ear buds may be made of hard plastic, BUT its design is impressively small – it’s not a bother after all. Not to mention it makes for a nice and low profile design when you wear it. As far as I am concerned, I experienced no discomfort when I’m wearing them for more than an hour. HOWEVER, you should also keep in mind that this largely depends on your ear’s shape and size.

Bottom line – the ATH ANC3 Quiet Point noise cancelling ear buds are great performers. The noise cancellation, which is the meat of these ear buds, work excellently and they are good enough to quiet the hum of an air conditioner which is like just 5 inches away from you.

Along with that, if you are able to get a good seal with the silicone fittings that come in the package, you also get great passive noise blocking features as well. Overall, the ATH ANC3 Quiet Point noise cancelling ear buds is more than recommended!

Very solid noise cancellation ear buds!
